Art. 1

Recital

The GMBS Quality Council is an advisory body to the GMBS Rector in the field of quality assurance.

Art. 2

Basic tasks and activities of the GMBS Quality Council

1) The GMBS Quality Council prepares, controls, evaluates and coordinates the creation, implementation and use of the internal quality system of higher education provided.

2) GMBS Quality Council further:

(a) coordinate the introduction, use, functionality and implementation of the management system

GMBS,

b) proposes to the Rector corrective and preventive measures related to the building, evaluation and correction of the internal quality system and submits suggestions for improvement in order to increase the quality and performance of the managed systems,

(c) control the economic efficiency of all activities falling within the scope of quality assurance and the GMBS quality management system.

3) The activities of the GMBS Quality Council are governed by the Statute of the Quality Council and the schedule of the quality assurance procedure and the development of the quality management system at GMBS. Building a quality management system and its implementation into the management practice of all levels of GMBS management in an integrally understood system will be carried out by trained and professionally competent internal employees of the university, with the help of recognized advisors for building quality management systems, as well as with the use of regular system assessment of the level and compliance of gradual steps leading to the set goal. The result of these managed and coordinated activities of the GMBS Quality Council will be the implementation of an internal quality system in accordance with the MFHEA standards and the harmonization of the GMBS management system with the requirements of international standards for the quality management system will be achieved.

4) The activities of the GMBS Quality Council are coordinated by the Vice-Rector for Quality and Development, responsible for the time and material schedule of the implementation of the quality assurance system at GMBS. Prepares and provides information on quality assurance at GMBS to advisory, self-governing and other bodies of the institution as required by the Rector of GMBS.

Art. 3

Composition

1) Members of the Quality Council are appointed and dismissed by the Rector.

2) The Chairman of the Quality Council is the Vice-Rector for Quality and Development. The members of the Quality Council usually are: the Rector, the vice-rectors, the managing director.

Art. 4

Meeting of the GMBS Quality Council

(1) A meeting of the GMBS Quality Council shall be convened by its Chairman, as appropriate.

2) The Vice-Rector for Quality and Development has the right to invite representatives of individual organisational units to the meetings of the Quality Council, in case of discussing issues falling within their competence.

3) An implementation team for the implementation of the quality management system is established at the Quality Council.

4) Members of the GMBS Quality Council are obliged to participate in the negotiations of the GMBS Quality Council and perform the tasks accepted by it.

Art. 6

Rules applicable to the Quality Council

The position and activities of the GMBS Quality Council are regulated by the GMBS Internal Regulation, which contains the GMBS Quality Assurance Policy and Procedures, this Statute and the management documentation, which will be gradually created within the requirements for the internal quality system.

Art. 7

Binding nature of decisions

1) The decisions taken in the GMBS Quality Council in the field of quality assurance and quality management system management are binding on all GMBS employees.

Art. 8

Final provision

1) Amendments to this Statute must be discussed in the GMBS Quality Council and approved by the GMBS Quality Council.
